Theology 101, part 2

God's Eternal Decision

The fact that some receive from God the gift of faith within time, and that others do not, stems from his eternal decision. For "all His works are known to God from eternity" (Acts 15:18; Eph. 1:11). In accordance with this decision He graciously softens the hearts, however hard, of His chosen ones and inclines them to believe, but by His just judgment He leaves in their wickedness and hardness of heart those who have not been chosen. And in this especially is disclosed to us His act - unfathomable, and as merciful as it is just - of distinguishing between people equally lost. This is the well-known decision of election and reprobation revealed in God's Word. This decision the wicked, impure, and unstable distort to their own ruin, but it provides holy and godly souls with comfort beyond words.

This blog was made to share our experiences while sharing the gospel on the steet and to encourage others to "GO" into all the world and preach the gospel.

We don't want any glory for ourselves because we are very weak and can do nothing without Christ. So all the glory goes to God because He is worthy of all glory and worship. We are but grass that will wither away. We hold to what George Whitefield said, "Let me die, and let my name die with me." To God be the glory.

These are our latest experiences while sharing the gopsel on the streets. Praise God because He is at work always. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." 2 Corinthians 10:4 Praise God for raising up men to hit the streets and boldly proclaim the gospel to every creature. I believe God is beginning to raise up people to proclaim His word boldly. It seems with all the false prophets and watered down churches of today that Christianity in America is dead. But God has raised up a remnant that is bold in the faith, sound in doctrine, and that hunger and thirst for righteousness. With the rapid increase in heresy spreading throughout the visible church we also see this remnant of theologian street preachers who are boldly counteracting everything that the "world" loves about the new seeker friendly church. This remnant is seen in the increasing number of open-air preachers and street evangelists throughout the US. They are preaching a biblical gospel that exalts Jesus Christ and explains Justification. Praise our Sovereign God for this increasing remnant.
